Jonathan Logan, Ph.D. 


Dr. Jonathan Logan joined Alcorix Co. as a Scientist in October 2017.  Before this, he was a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Hard X-ray Nanoprobe beamline of Argonne National Laboratory (2014-2017).  Dr. Logan received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago in December 2013.   He has published 7 several peer reviewed articles in journals such as Science, Nature, and Applied Physics Letters, and was an Entrepreneurial Lead in the DOE Energy I-Corps program. 

Iuliu-Ioan Blaga

Principal Microfabrication Engineer

Iuliu-Ioan Blaga has 25+ years of microfabrication experience in both semiconductor and biotech fields.  He is author/coauthor on 9 patents and 11 patent applications and has several research publications related to microfluidics, DNA sequencing, solar absorbers and chemiluminescence.  Prior to joining Alcorix, he served as Director for Microfluidics at Lunample and Chief Engineer of Microfluidics and Packaging at Optokey.   


Diane Hickey-Davis, Ph.D. 

Strategic Marketing

Dr. Diane Hickey-Davis provides strategy and marketing services to Alcorix from her company Diamond Chameleon Group.  Diane has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.  She has served as an executive in technology start-ups and has  business and market penetration knowledge.

Nicolaie Moldovan, Ph.D. 

Founder and President

Dr. Nicolaie (Mike) Moldovan founded Alcorix Co. in 2014 to create superior micro-manufactured products for fellow scientists.  Prior to founding Alcorix, he was a Senior Scientist and MEMS Lead Scientist at Advanced Diamond Technologies (2006-2016) where he developed and brought over 20 products to market.  He has also served as Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University (2002-2006) and as Assistant Physicist at Argonne National Laboratory (1998-2002). 

Dr. Moldovan obtained his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Bucharest, Romania.  He has over 150 peer reviewed journal articles, two R&D 100 awards, and 10 patent applications (3 granted).
